EN// This book, "A World Without You" by Beth Revis, is very good, it has some amazing quotes and a pretty plot. It can be classified as a fictional, fantasy romance, it has 358 pages and I think it`s readable for all ages.
What I liked about this book was that it was so confusing, but also so clear at the same time, if that makes sense. I mean, there were some parts in the book where the action got a little bit "blurry", but at the same time they were as clear as the sunli9ht.
Boo has superpowers, he can travel in time. In addition, he is moved to the Berkshire Academy, where teenagers like him, "special teenagers", learn to take control over their powers, in order not to cause damages in the world. But one day, Boo makes a mistake, which has its own consequences. Two strangers show up at the Academy: officials, sent by the government to investigate the Berkshire Academy after Sofia`s death. Is Sofia really dead, or is she captive in Boo`s mistake? What happens when he realises that the world, as he thought it is, is actually only in his mind? What will happen with the Academy and the teenagers from there after the officials finish their investigations? Everyone knows that things won`t be the same, but how different will they get?
What would you do if you couldn`t know what`s true and what`s made up by your mind? If everything would fall apart around you? If you would be given the chance to choose to live or die? What would you do if you would realise you couldn`t help your friends, your family and your school, but yourself neither?
"Everyone has a darkness jar inside them. Everyone. When we are born, the jar has a tight cover. That`s why babies are happy. As time passes, however, the jar opens sometimes and the darkness gets in us. Sometimes, we can close the jar, other times we can`t ... I think my jar got broken. Or that I don`t have a jar, only darkness."
Personally, I had a little hard time reading this book, I don`t really know why, because it`s an amazing book, but I stayed on it for almost 3 weeks, which I kind of long for me, because I usually read a 300-ish pages book in maximum one week, if I have other things to study meanwhile for school; if I am completely free, I can read it in one or two days. And seeing that I stood on this book for 3 weeks really shocked me. But I really recommend reading it, because you can actually learn from it.

What I like the most about this book is that it shows how Boo and his sister, Phoebe, tried to work on their brother-sister relationship, despite the differences between them, trying to get better and closer to each other. I really appreciate it, because in my point of view, family is the most important thing in life.
"I might never be `normal`. That`s the biggest difference between me and my sister. I may be able to travel in time, but she knows more about future than I do."
I really recommend checking out this book; you won`t regret it, trust me. Beth Revis did an amazing job writing "A World Without You", I really enjoyed reading it and it made its way to my top 15 books read in 2018!
RO// Această carte, "O Lume Fără Tine" de Beth Revis, este foarte bună, are niște citate uimitoare și o întâmplare drăguță. Poate fi clasificată ca fantezie, ficțiune romantică, are 358 de pagini și cred că poate fi citită la toate vârstele.
Ceea ce mi-a plăcut la această carte a fost că te făcea confuz de multe ori, dar în același timp era limpede totul, dacă are sens. Adică, vreau să zic că au fost anumite părți în carte unde acțiunea a devenit puțin "cețoasă", dar în același timp erau clare ca lumina soarelui.
Boo are superputeri, poate călători în timp. De aceea, este mutat la Academia Berkshire, unde adolescenți ca el, "adolescenți speciali" învață să își controleze puterile pentru a nu cauza pagube lumii. Dar într-o zi, Boo face o greșeală, care își are consecințele. Doi străini apar la Academie: oficiali, trimiși de către guvern pentru a investiga moartea Sofiei. Este Sofia moartă, sau este doar captivă în greșeala lui Boo? Ce se întâmplă când el realizează că lumea, așa cum o știa el, este doar în mintea lui? Ce se întâmplă cu Academia și cu adolescenții de acolo după ce oficialii își termină investigația? Toată lumea știe că lucrurile nu vor mai fi la fel, dar cât de diferite vor deveni?
Ce ai face dacă nu ai știi ce este adevărat și ce este inventat de mintea ta? Dacă totul s-ar nărui în jurul tău? Dacă ți s-ar da șansa să alegi între a trăi și a muri? Dacă ai realiza că nu îți poți ajuta prietenii, familia, școala, și nici chiar pe tine însuți?
"Toți oamenii au un borcan de întuneric înăuntrul lor. Toți. Când ne naștem, borcanul are capacul bine strâns. De asta sunt bebelușii fericiți. Pe măsură ce trece timpul, însă, borcanul se deschide câteodată și întunericul trece în noi. Uneori putem închide borcanul, alteori nu ... Eu cred că borcanul meu s-a spart. Sau că n-am borcan, doar întuneric."
Personal, am avut un timp destul de greu citind această carte, nu prea știu de ce, deoarece este o carte uimitoare, dar am stat la ea aproape 3 săptămâni, ceea ce este cam mult pentru mine, deoarece eu citesc o carte cu aproximativ 300 de pagini în maximum o săptămână, dacă am și alte lucruri de învățat pentru școală; dacă sunt complet liberă, reușesc să o termin într-o zi sau două. Și văzând că am stat la această carte aproape 3 săptămâni m-a speriat puțin. Dar recomand citirea acestei cărți, deoarece chiar poți învăța din ea.
"Nu-mi vine în minte o modalitate mai bună de a cunoaște o fată decât văzând-o prin ochii poveștii la care ține cel mai mult."
Ceea ce apreciez cel mai mult la această carte este că arată cum Boo și sora lui, Phoebe, încearcă să lucreze la relația lor frate-sora, în ciuda diferențelor dintre ei, încearcă să fie alături unul de celălalt. Chiar apreciez acest lucru, deoarece în punctul meu de vedere, familia este cea mai importantă în viață.
"S-ar putea să nu ajung niciodată `normal`. Asta este cea mai mare diferență dintre sora mea și mine. Poate că sunt eu în stare să călătoresc în timp, dar ea știe mai multe ca mine despre viitor."
Chiar recomand această carte, nu vei regreta, crede-mă. Beth Revis a făcut o treabă excelentă scriind "O Lume Fără Tine", mă bucur mult că am citit-o și cu siguranță și-a croit drumul în topul celor mai bune 15 cărți citite de mine în 2018!
